‘Bugbugan’ News–Celebrity Edition

By

CLAUDINE Barretto in tears

IT must be the long, hot summer, with sizzling temperatures setting records and pushing overheated people over the edge to act out their most pugilistic impulses. Or, could it be the unusually huge moonrise over our skies last week, making us all loopy and loony?

Whatever the real reason, televiewers were shocked last May 6 and 7 to see that the news shows on TV were full of literally  “breaking news” stories about combative celebrities getting on each other’s nerves and resorting to acts of violence.

In fact, the “star wars” stories were so in-your-face and played and replayed with such extended emphasis that local newscasts could have been retitled, “Bugbugan Breaking News—

Celebrity Edition”!

From Claudine and Raymart Santiago’s group tangling with Mon Tulfo at the airport to Albie Casiño accusing Andi Eigenmann’s friends of avenging acts of assault and battery, the extended reports shocked viewers and dismayed other show business denizens, because they bared another side of the biz, which is supposed to be all about glamour and providing the public with beautiful role models for inspiring and responsible conduct.

Suits and countersuits have been filed, but the heat hasn’t subsided, because the parties involved are now trying to score pre-emptive points in the court of public opinion—no thanks to the readiness of the media for anyone and everyone to weigh in on the sensational events by way of their often subjective opinions.

Cooler heads point out that it’ll take time to sort things out and determine who really did what to whom, but the urge to instantly opine is making it difficult for that more fact-based denouement to transpire. Entertainment leaders fret that, by the time the smoke clears, it’ll be the entire show biz scene that will be sporting—and hurting from—a big blackeye.

That’s exactly the opposite of what the industry needs at this point in time, because it’s already reeling from a number of other low blows, like the extended film slump, financial reversals even in the hitherto hit TV trade, and accusations that some irresponsible productions are weakening the moral fiber of the nation’s youth.

It was bad enough when combative stars and starlets inflicted emotional and psychological pain on each other, but actual physical injuries ring alarm bells that spell big trouble.

Industry leaders need to remind viewers that many entertainers lead positive, inspiring lives, and shouldn’t be lumped together with its more disreputable denizens.

Again, no thanks to the proliferation of you-are-there video images from CCTV and cell-phone cameras, the objective viewer now has an even harder time determining the actual sequence of events, as well as the different participants’ relative culpability.

But, greater objectivity has to kick in soon, otherwise the show biz and media industries may find their stock in the eyes of the viewing and eavesdropping public plunging to a permanent low.

IF THE DSWD WANTS TO DO THEIR WORK, THEY SHOULD BE THE ONE TO FILE CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT AGAINST THE VIRAGO CLAUDINE AND HENPECKED RAYMART BARRETTO, A.K.A. RAYMART SANTIAGO.

THE COUPLE ABANDONED THEIR CHILDREN IN FAVOR OF GANGING UP ON THE 65-YEAR OLD TULFO, A SENIOR CITIZEN. THEY DID THE ATTACK RIGHT IN THE EYES OF THE CHILDREN.

MUCH MORE, BURRITTO PLACED THE MEDICINES OF THEIR ALLEGEDLY ASTHMATIC CHILDREN IN THE BAGGAGE THEY CHECKED IN. THIS IS WHAT RAYMART SAID. AND THIS PUT DANGER TO THE KIDS WHILE THEY WERE ON FLIGHT!

THE CHILDREN WERE ALSO MADE WITNESSES TO THE TERMAGANT’S BERATING OF THE GROUND CREW ACTING LIKE SHE OWNS THE LADIES DISRESPECTING THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS AND SENSIBILITIES. THIS TENDS FOR THE CHILDREN TO BELIEVE THAT WHAT SHE WAS DOING, BERATING AND FIGHTING, ARE ACCEPTABLE ACTIONS AND MANNERS THAT THEY COULD EMULATE.

I WONDER WHY BARETTO WAS FUMING SO HARD FOR HER OFF-LOADED BAGGAGES? WAS THERE SOMETHING INSIDE THOSE BAGGAGES THAT COULD PUT THEM IN A REAL COMPELLINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATION? YOU KNOW WHAT ACTRESSES AND ACTOR DO AS STATUS SYMBOL.

      Galit na galit :)
personal opinion lang po, parehas sila may kasalanan, parehas mayabang. you already said mon’s side… Couple’s side, first, cguro human nature lang ang manakit ng tao kung sinasaktan nila partner mo (as it was said that mon tulfo made the first move)
second, regarding disrespect on human rights, both of them did it. recently, have you heard what he said on his recent interview, he called the security guards “tanga, bobo” he said “wla tlgang gamot sa katangahan” other people will say, “ganyan lang tlga kse hinayaan nila bugbugin ung 65year old na tao, failure of service kaya napagasbihan tuloy ni mon tulfo”. same situation as the couple, Cebu pacific gave their service with failure, thats how Claudine reacted, namura tuloy sila… in addition, and based on my theory (theory ko lang po ah, dami nnmn magrreact :p) kaya nlang may mga unknown people na sumali sa pagbubugbog eh kse nakita nila na sinipa ang isang babae (martial arts style, according to the news) and moreover kaya nlng siguro di umawat yung mga security guards. its simply pinoy on how would they react on things, parang sa kalye isang babae nanakawan, other bystanders would also help chase the thief off and will beat the crap out of him if caught. :)
conclusion… parehas mapride, dami nagsisinungaling, ayaw magsorry… its like 2 tsunamis headed for each other…. peace

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/OMRN5WZBANQT5U47URDQJANWCU Deo Badique

Wow! Claudine can now ask for a big purse fighting against the boxing champ Ana the “Hurricane” Julaton. In fairness, Claudine was not fighting like a female, she fights like a normal  bull against the judo master Mon Tulfo. I think  Ana Julaton is no match to the big body of Claudine! On the other side Raymart Santiago, could be recommended to fight as wrestling mania, because he holds Mon Tulfo’ neck with power. Even the Tulfo brothers could not match these duo. He, ha, ha, ha…

Sana we don’t expend energy debating about this BALAHURA couple–raymart and claudine.  not worth it.  ipakulong na yang dalawang balahura na yan!  end of story.

My advice to MCRTB, If you have the idea to suspend the couples, Claudine and Raymart Barreto. Please don’t, they are an assets to our showbiz industry, they are good “kontrabida, matapang at mayabang.” The entertainment needed them. Look at Floyd Mayweather, ”mayabang at mataray” but the people look at them as their ideal idol, “pasaway talaga.” Tingnan mo naman, silana nga ang nambugbog pero ang mga mukha nila sa TV sila itong parang kawawa. He, he, he!
