TV 5 suspends Tulfo brothers after threats to Raymart Santiago, Claudine Barretto

MANILA, Philippines – Television network TV5 suspended the brothers of Philippine Daily Inquirer Ramon Tulfo after they threatened on their program a celebrity couple who figured in a brawl with their eldest brother Sunday, May 6.

In a statement, TV5 Corporate PR Peachy Vibal-Guioguio said, “The Tulfo brothers, Erwin, Raffy and Ben have been suspended as of 5 p.m. today [Wednesday]. Mon Tulfo, Martin Andanar and Attorney Mel Sta Maria will serve as hosts of T3.”

Tulfo himself confirmed this in a radio interview, a day after the Movie and Television Review Classification Board (MTRCB) said it “found probable cause” to charge “T3 Kapatid Sagot Kita” for egging on the commission of violence .

The Tulfo brothers threatened celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on their program Monday, a day after their eldest brother, Ramon, figured in a fight with Santiago and Barretto whom the columnist and radio host took pictures of as she berated a Cebu Pacific ground stewardess over their off loaded baggage on their way back to Manila from Boracay.

Many viewers complained to the MTRCB after the program, prompting the Tulfos to issue an apology on Tuesday.

    Raymart and Claudine can file for restraining order against the Tulfos at least 50 meters distance and grave threats. Way to go Tulfos. Sometimes bravery is not enough. You need a brain to win a war.

      I think that they did used their brains.  They will never physically hurt Raymart and Claudine,  They know that if anything happened to those 2, they will be the immediate suspects.  What they did is instil psychological fear.  And based on what I’ve read so far, the T3 won this round.

    We are born Judgemental  for what we just saw, but Judging a person’s attitude just because you saw them consistently being such a bad brat or good gals doesn’t mean that’s their true color, YES we were seing TULFO Brothers as bad but we cannot assume that they do really bad to everyone, what about BARRETTO/SANTIAGO, you people think that they are HOLY GOOD as they portray in teleserye or movie as DOWN TO EARTH PERSON and will not FIGHT BACK even if they are BERATED DOWN by someone? remember the word “LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING”, don’t get DECEIVE by their ILLUSION, be on the side of Truth.

    Tulfo’s have been egging people to violence in their comments on radio shows for a long time. Although what Claudine and Raymart’s group did was also wrong. ie. ganging up in numbers on one person. Raffy Tulfo once challenged Filipino Muslims to try doing suicide bombings in the Philippines in his radio program. I believe that statement was egging on to violence, and if someone had indeed decided to accept that challenge, what will Raffy Tulfo do for the victims.

      pero yung message nila ke claudine at raymart naparating na.  tiyak kakaba-kaba yung 2 tuwing lalabas sila ng bahay.  yung fear nila for their and their children’s safety is enough ganti.  maraming natulungan ang mga tulfo na mga patapon na ang buhay that a spell in muntinlupa will actually be a respite.
