Cheer Factor: Two Philippine films in Osaka

Two Filipino films will be shown at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, which runs from March 9 to 18. Jeffrey Jeturian’s “Bisperas” and Marlon Rivera’s “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” will be screened with other selected films from the region. “Bisperas” won best film in the Directors’ Showcase and “Septic” topped the New Breed section of last year’s Cinemalaya.—Bayani San Diego Jr.
