KC Concepcion’s half-sister Cloie Syquia Skarne is Miss Universe Sweden 2018 1st runner-up

Cloie Syquia Skarne, the half-sister of KC Concepcion and Garie Concepcion, proved she is indeed a beauty queen as she placed first runner-up in this year’s Miss Universe Sweden.
She shared the good news on her Instagram page today, Sept. 25. Miss Universe Sweden 2017 Frida Fornander congratulated Skarne during the awarding ceremony held at Café Opera in Stockholm.

KC took to the comment section of Skarne’s post to congratulate her half-sister. “I wish you could feel how proud I am and will always be of you,” she wrote. Both share the same biological father, actor Gabby Concepcion.

She made it a point to thank to thank her family, friends and fans for their unwavering support throughout the competition.

Her mother, Filipino-American Swedish model Jenny Syquia, made use of the same platform to express support for her daughter.

Skarne lost the Miss Universe Sweden crown to Emma Strandberg who, like her, was not a novice to beauty pageants. In 2016, the two beauty queens wrote their names in history after winning the competitions they respectively joined — Strandberg was crowned as Miss World Sweden while Skarne won the Miss Earth Sweden crown.
Skarne made it to the Top 8 of the Miss Earth 2016 competition held in the Mall of Asia Arena. Meanwhile, Strandberg lost to Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray who placed as one of the Top 5 finalists.
This year, Gray and Strandberg will once again compete against each other — this time, for the Miss Universe 2018 crown. NVG
