LOOK: Gabbi Garcia pays homage to flight attendant mom

There was one special person who welcomed actress Gabbi Garcia while boarding her flight to Honolulu, Hawaii, last Aug. 7: her mother. Garcia took to her Twitter to share a short clip of their interaction, where her mother, Tes Lopez, a Philippine Airlines flight attendant, waved at her and welcomed her with an air of professionalism.
“So… my mom is part of the cabin crew for today’s flight… and I’m her passenger…” Garcia wrote on her Twitter account.

A day later, on Aug. 8, Garcia took to her Instagram to honor her mom. Garcia shared a picture of them together in the flight, with her mother standing next to her, an arm wrapped around her. Both smiled for the camera.
“My mom’s been a flight attendant for 24 years,” Garcia shared. “And I’ve always looked up to her. Her job was never an issue when it comes to our family time. Idk how she does it, but she manages to balance everything.”

According to Garcia, her mother had never missed a special occasion in her life “despite her going to places miles away from home, or her messed up body clock.”
As she expressed her admiration for flight attendants, Garcia also used her platform to remind her fans to be kind to flight attendants and all the staff on board.
“To all the FA’s out there, hands down to you guys!!” said Garcia. “P.S. if you’re a passenger, pls be kind to your FA’s… actually to everybody on board. Hindi biro ang trabaho nila.” /ra
