JC de Vera opens up on wedding plans
This July saw JC de Vera finally open up about his personal life, particularly about his non-showbiz girlfriend Rikkah Alyssa Cruz and their baby Lana Athena.

Prior to having a baby, De Vera had avoided posts on his love life. Now, his Instagram is filled with near-daily updates about his baby girl, as well as some sentimental posts about his girlfriend.

When asked yesterday, July 30, on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” whether he was ready to be a husband, the “Since I Found You” actor said yes.
“Ang goal namin, kasi very small pa si Lana, by the time na nagwa-walk na si Lana, ang gusto ko sana, sumama siya sa mom niya maglakad sa aisle. Pinag-iipunan ko ‘yan.”
(Lana is still very small, so our goal is that by the time she can walk, I would want her to walk along with her mom down the aisle. I’m saving for it.)
He also praised his girlfriend and her family. “I’m really proud of Rikkah. Sobrang ganda ng values niya. Hindi lang siya, even her family (Her values are so good. Not just her, even her family).”
De Vera took the time to address the question of why he is only opening up about his personal life now, considering that Lana was born back in May.
“Ngayon ko lang siya nilabas para masavor ko yung bawat moment na kasama ko sila (I only made them public now because I wanted to savor every moment with them),” he explained.
“Ayoko silang itago (I don’t want to hide them),” he said. “Di nila deserve na itago sila (They don’t deserve to be hidden). They deserve all the happiness in life.”
During the talk show, he couldn’t help but gush about his daughter, who is said to be a carbon copy of her dad. However, De Vera believes she gets her big smile from her mom.
“Siguro lang naman sa akin ang pag-arte sa camera. Pag tutukan siya ng camera, nakatingin siya sa lens,” he said of his photogenic baby.
