WATCH: Kim Chiu gets into absolute fangirl mode for Shawn Mendes

While Kim Chiu is already famous in her own right, she still remains a fan to one of the world’s hottest singers — Shawn Mendes.
The Kapamilya actress unleashed her kilig when she joined Mendes’ Instagram Live Q&A with fans. Chiu shared the moment via her Stories, which she later compiled into one video she posted yesterday, July 4. She was noticed by the singer not just once but three times during the live video.
In the first part of the video, Mendes is seen talking to the camera with his guitar on hand. As the string of comments appeared on screen, Chiu’s Instagram handle (@chinitaprincess) popped up with her very own comment, a question for Mendes: “[H]ave you been to the [P]hilippines?”
As he strummed his guitar away while reading the stream of comments, Mendes answered Chiu’s question: “Yes, I have been to the Philippines.”
She got lucky once again when Mendes noticed her next comment, “[C]an you say hi to the [P]hilippines?”
The singer answered her with the wished-for greeting: “Hi to the Philippines!”

This was when Chiu let it all loose and enthused, “OMG!! @shawnmendes answered my questions on his IG LIVE!!!! i die!!!!!!!!!!”
But it gets even better as Mendes entertained her for a third time. Chiu requested him to sing his hit song “Treat You Better”; he obliged and started singing without hesitation.
Chiu then giggled and jumped for joy, as seen in the video clip. Chiu later calmed herself down and said she will get back to her work out.
Some of her fans had several reactions on Chiu’s Mendes experience. One @aimunie9388 predicted that Chiu might have a hard time moving on from her recent interaction with the international star.

Meanwhile, @tingaiting commented that she was super inggit (jealous) of Chiu.

And @princess.sarahmae14 simply told the actress that she was a “lucky girl!”

It may indeed take some time before Chiu moves on, but it shouldn’t be a surprise if she forever remembers this delightful incident. JB
