WATCH: Alex Gonzaga tricks parents’ taste buds, makes them eat colorful jellybeans
Alex Gonzaga has once again tagged her parents, mom Pinty and dad Bonoy, in one of her antics. This time, she had them go through a challenge where they had to eat colorful jellybeans.
The actress and funny woman documented her parents “Beanboozled Challenge” in the latest installment of her YouTube vlog, posted on Sunday, July 1. The video is titled after the BeanBoozled Jellybeans, said to “take your taste buds on a roller coaster,” according to the candy’s official site.
At the start of the video, Pinty was already complaining that she’s already sleepy, but managed to look for her husband to start the challenge. When Gonzaga showed her mom what they will be eating, Pinty said: “Huy ang baho, Catherine (Gonzaga’s real name)! I-cancel mo na ‘yan!” (It stinks, Catherine! Cancel the video!)
Gonzaga laid down the rules: they should eat three jellybeans of different flavors. On their first try, all of them reacted differently: Pinty said hers was disgusting, Bonoy said he couldn’t taste anything, and Gonzaga said her jellybean tasted like milk.
When it was time for round two, Pinty announced: “Talo na ako.” (I lose.) She said her jellybean tasted like fish, spitting it out.
Bonoy said all his candies tasted fine, earning him the title of “Martyr siya sa beanboozled [challenge]” (martyr in the beanboozled challenge). Meanwhile, Pinty once again complained that the jellybeans smell foul, to which her husband agreed.
Gonzaga soon teased that her competitors are not giving it all in the contest, and asked her dad to eat more. Bonoy opposed his daughter: “Kayo mga umayaw, eh. Panalo na ako, ‘bat pagtitiisin mo ‘ko?” (It’s you guys who don’t like the beans. I already won, why should I eat more?)
But Bonoy just could not resist the bullying of his wife who asked him to eat more, as proof of his love to her. He gave in while consistently complaining that all the beans taste the same. “Pa-challenge challenge ka pa! (And here you go with these challenges)” he teased Gonzaga.
After the no-contest contest ended, which sent her victorious dad slipping away to brush his teeth, the actress asked her mom to dance with her.
Both Pinty and Bonoy have been previously featured in Gonzaga’s vlog channel. In one episode, she made her dad unleash his secret talent in doing make up. JB
