Younger lover meant to irk playboy’s ex

/ 11:43 PM January 24, 2012

Seasoned Playboy wanted to get even with Former Flame, who had dumped him for Rich Kid.

SP had become irritable, said an insider, but his mood quickly changed for the better when he won the heart of Younger Sweetheart.

YS and FF are certified frenemies, civil in public, but cannot stand each other in private. They just hate each other’s guts.

Seems SP hooked up with YS to annoy FF. The plan has apparently clicked. FF and YS are irrevocably far from chummy now.

Flimsy excuse

Big Boss tried to contact Handsome Actor for a project, but HA was missing in action. Not even his handlers knew where HA is, BB complained.

The project was delayed until BB found a replacement for HA.

When HA resurfaced, he offered a flimsy excuse: “I had to sort out a personal problem.” And he couldn’t check his cell phone for a minute?

Ill-gotten wealth

Colleagues are raising a collective brow: Show biz Insider somehow amassed wealth even after giving up a lucrative job.

Anonymous texters have been spreading rumors about the questionable source of SI’s prosperity.

Enemies are asking: Could it be true that SI is just a front for Powerful Boss, whose deals are dubious at best? Or is it because one of SI’s Closest Wards is the kept boy of Influential Celebrity?

SI should learn that it’s best not to flaunt ill-gotten affluence.

Pro name-droppers

These Devious Characters really know who to befriend. Attaching themselves like barnacles to Wheeler-Dealer has proven to be providential in countless ways.

DCs are obviously using WD to get close to even more Prominent Personalities—specifically, whenever they engage in illicit activities.

Worse, DCs pretend to be do-gooders, when they actually cheated their way to the top.

Suspicious hater

Noisy Hater has been unrelenting in disparaging Notorious Celebrity, exposing NC’s shenanigans. All because of a nasty falling-out.

Then again, NC must be tolerating NH because the latter has succeeded in keeping this “has-been” in the news. In a roundabout way, NH is fanning the flames of NC’s infamy. Perhaps NH should just ignore NC—the best way to deal with someone who’s publicity hungry.

Pudding pot

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts—Golden Globe winner Claire Danes will pick up a pudding pot from Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals. The student group named Danes on Friday as Woman of the Year. She’ll get a parade and a roast tomorrow.

Danes, 32, won her third Golden Globe on Sunday for her role as CIA agent Carrie Mathison on Showtime’s new “Homeland.” She won a Golden Globe, an Emmy and a Screen Actors Guild award last year for her work in HBO’s “Temple Grandin.” She won her first Golden Globe and an Emmy nomination at 15, for “My So Called Life.” AP
