While Anne Curtis is currently enjoying the success of her new film “Sid and Aya: Not a Love Story” opposite Dingdong Dantes, she cannot help but call out people who keep finding ways to upload and watch it illegally.

The actress and “It’s Showtime” host did not hide how irked she was via her Twitter page yesterday, June 18.

“To everyone that’s sharing all the illegal uploads of our movie Sid & Aya on Facebook, Thank you,” Curtis said in sarcasm. “@Viva_Films [is] reporting them. Sa mga nagu-upload, sana maguilty kayo.” (To those uploading it, I hope you’ll feel guilty about it.)

But the actress also shared how elated she was about her movie being a major hit. “Sid and Aya” has raked up P160 million in its third week in cinemas. It is already considered as the number one local movie of the year.

Curtis expressed her gratitude to those who have seen the film: “My mentions are still filled with your thoughts and #feels sa movie namin (in our movie).”

Curtis also announced that international screenings are still lined up for the film.

People who upload the movie on social media are in violation of the Intellectual Property Code (RA 9283) and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175). If found guilty, the person committing such crime could be ordered to pay huge fines or face jail time. JB
