Filipino dance group Junior New System wowed the audience and judges of “America’s Got Talent” with their powerful performance in heels.

The 11-member group of neighborhood friends from Sampaloc, Manila, told Judge Simon Powel how being on America’s Got Talent had been a big dream of theirs as they wanted to perform on “the world’s biggest stage.” The members started getting teary-eyed when their representative mentioned they once were “only street children” back in Manila.

“These are happy tears, yes? Because this is a big dream for you,” said judge Mel B.

With the interview cut short, Powel wished the group the best of luck in their performance.

The dance routine started out fairly normal. They opened with a couple of acrobatic moves with one of the members leaping several feet into the air. The excitement ramped up when one of the members came on stage wearing gold, sparkling heels.

“Look at his heels!” called out Judge Heidi Klum while jumping in her seat.

Four more members joined in with heels and the music shifted to a remix version of “Bang Bang.” A few seconds later, all the members got together in formation, each of them wearing the same golden high-heeled shoes.

After a few moves, the group once again demonstrated their athletic abilities by launching one of their members nearly three meters high to do a backflip. They then capped off the performance by striking confident poses while sitting on the stage floor.

As soon as the music died down, Judge Mel B screamed, “What just happened?!”

“You are the epitome of dreams coming true,” said judge Howie Mandel.

Judge Heidi Klum added, “I love the music I love your dancing, I have no idea how you do the flip and you land on your heels. That was insane. You guys just really woke me up!”

The icing on the cake came when it was judge Simon Powel’s turn to give his reaction. He said, “I think when you’re judging something like this, I would like to judge it on an entertainment basis. I thought the first part of the act ‘I kinda seen it before.’ Then the second half, the heels come on, the personality comes through, and you just blow this audience away.”

The footage below shows Junior New System at their best while living the dream.

Junior New System first came into the world spotlight in 2015 when they entered and performed at the first season of “Asia’s Got Talent.” They ended up becoming the opening act and received a standing ovation from all four judges.

In 2016 the group won at the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held in Long Beach, California, on July 8-17.  /ra
