Frank’s ‘beautiful’ death scene

/ 12:15 AM May 26, 2018

English actor Frank Dillane, aka recovering drug addict Nick Clark in “Fear the Walking Dead,” ended his stint in the zombie apocalypse drama. The character was written out of the show, but it was a decision that he made himself.

“I had been doing it for three or four years … and the beginning of this season felt like the end of an era,” Dillane told Entertainment Weekly.

He elaborated: “Television is hard work… I also missed Europe very much… So after a while, I get quite homesick. I also felt like we had achieved what needed to be achieved in the first few seasons.”

Dillane, 27, played the teenage “Harry Potter” villain Voldemort, back in 2009.

Nick’s death scene—after being shot by a treacherous character—was described as “beautiful” by the actor. He added, “I really loved the ending… I was very happy with it.”

Fans don’t feel that way, he related: “Having now heard from people, and the more I think about Nick and his death, I had a little cry… I’m certainly going to miss Nick.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
