Separation anxieties? Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona admit worries about working apart

Janella Salvador has always been together with her love team partner Elmo Magalona. But with new projects coming that tend to have them apart, does it mean that the public will be seeing less of the ElNella love team on screen?
The actress is starring in the new movie “So Connected” with Jameson Blake. In connection with this, she admitted to talk show host Boy Abunda in a “Tonight with Boy Abunda” episode which aired yesterday, May 21, that she and Elmo have both been hesitant to take on projects that would set them apart.
“Si Elmo kasi, he’s very understanding naman,” Salvador said when asked if Magalona got jealous of her pairing with Blake in the movie.
“Of course at first, we were talking and we were thinking ‘What’s gonna happen?'” Salvador went on. “We were kind of hesitant at first na we really don’t know where this is gonna go. Like, we didn’t want din naman of course to go our separate ways, in terms of work, you know.”
Not only is Salvador having her own movie, Magalona will have a new film out as well, “Walwal”, where Salvador is not appearing.
“Of course, that talk was to make us ready,” Salvador admitted. “People are gonna say something. There are gonna be more bashers, you know. But in the end, he’s very understanding.’
Salvador’s new movie, “So Connected”, will hit theaters May 23. Magalona is joined in “Walwal” by Donny Pangilinan, with a release date yet to be announced. Katrina Hallare/JB
