Apologetic Katy clears air with ‘old friend’ Taylor

Katy Perry has extended an olive branch—literally—to Taylor Swift, presumably putting an end to the pop stars’ years-long rift.
Backstage, at the opening night of Taylor’s “Reputation” concert tour in Arizona, the singer-songwriter was stunned to find out that Katy had sent her a peace offering.
“So, I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch… This means so much to me,” she said, as she took a video of the package, which she then posted as an Instagram story.
The olive branch came with a letter. While the text appeared blurry in the video, diehard fans of both artists buckled down to work and deciphered the note, parts of which read:
“Hey Old Friend—I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us. I really want to clear the air… I’m deeply sorry,” Katy wrote.
