Toni Gonzaga preparing for new movie

Toni Gonzaga teased a new movie project with a post on social media.
The actress uploaded a snapshot of a script meeting she attended on Instagram Stories. She did not reveal any other details except tagging @ten17p, the studio behind “Siargao,” which stars Jericho Rosales, Erich Gonzales and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

It turns out Gonzaga already visited the studio in January for a brainstorming session. A post dated January 29 on the studio’s Instagram account showed the actress and sister Alex together in a group with the caption, “Coming Soon 2018 – Thank you @celestinegonzaga and @cathygonzaga for today’s concept brainstorm. Looking forward to our Sisters project this 2018. #sistersmovie #ten17pfilms.”

It is unclear whether the recent script meeting is the result of Gonzaga’s brainstorming with the studio in January. At the very least, a movie starring Gonzaga and perhaps her sister can be expected to premiere within the year.
Gonzaga was last seen on the big screen with actor Piolo Pascual in the reunion movie “Last Night,” which premiered on Sept. 27, 2017. The story followed two strangers, Mark (Pascual) and Carmina (Gonzaga), who meet at a hotel and discover they both plan to commit suicide. With their destinies entwined, the two become friends and eventually their relationship blooms into something else. /ra
