LOOK: Angel Locsin celebrates 33rd birthday, receives sweet messages from BF Neil Arce, friends

Angel Locsin welcomed her 33rd birthday yesterday, April 23, with a small gathering and the blowing of candles from three different cakes. It seemed festive enough, as Locsin looked all glammed up, wearing a black off-shoulder top and pearl earrings, and her hair in a neat chignon.
Boyfriend Neil Arce was one to take to Instagram yesterday to greet his sweetheart, writing, “Happy Birthday my Love! You’ve lived your life making sure everyone around you is happy and well. You truly deserve every blessing you have received. Getting to know you even more makes me realize kung gaano ka bagay yung name mo sayo (how your name really suits you). [H]appy happy birthday.”
Locsin herself calls this birthday of hers one of the best ever. She expressed her gratitude to all those who remembered her on her special day — and boyfriend Arce is top of the list — for giving her their time and effort.
“I thought today will be just like any other day. It turned out to be one of the BEST BIRTHDAYS I’ve ever had. Thanks to the overflowing love I received from all of you,” gushed Locsin. “Seriously, I’m amazed on how many of you remembered my birthday and left me wondering what I did to deserve your time and effort!”
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you! I’m humbled to have so many wonderful people in my life!💋 PS. Thank you my love @neil_arce and my Team @jd_ching @patriciaco at nailaban nyo mag salubong kahit paano kahit matigas ang ulo ko (for being able to pull off a birthday eve celebration despite my stubbornness).”
Actress Bubbles Paraiso, who Locsin calls her “wifey,” also took to her Instagram page to greet the celebrant. Last April 22, Paraiso posted a throwback photo of her and Locsin from one of their hiking trips in the past.
“I was planning to write about the day we met 14 years ago and how you haven’t changed a bit but it’s too cheesy you’d hate me for it,” wrote Paraiso in jest. “Happy birthday, wifey!!! Love you forevs. Or maybe a day less than forevs.”
Patricia Co, one of Locsin’s good friends, also sent a sweet birthday message her way. Co wrote her message to Locsin on Instagram yesterday, where she praised the actress for being an inspiration to a lot of people.
“Happiest of birthdays, @therealangellocsin. Bless your generous and loving heart. I have always seen how much kindness and genuine concern you show those people around you- even those you meet for the first time,” wrote Co in reverence. “Such humility in someone who has achieved so much. May you continue being an inspiration to many. Much love always!
