LOOK: Pia Wurtzbach surprises Marlon Stockinger with birthday party

Racing driver and model Marlon Stockinger was the lucky birthday boy when girlfriend Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach threw him a surprise party to mark his 27th on Wednesday. Wurtzbach took to Instagram two days ago to greet her partner a happy birthday and uploaded a picture of them together in one of their travels.
“To my makulit but loving partner in crime… Happy birthday baby @marlonstockinger,” wrote Wurtzbach. “I’m sorry I can’t post a better photo. I was setting up your surprise birthday party! I’ll post a better photo tomorrow haha.”
As promised, Wurtzbach followed her birthday greeting with a picture of her with Stockinger during the said surprise party in Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. “Happy birthday #Marlene,” wrote Wurtzbach. “Thank you Marriott Hotel.”
In the picture, Stockinger is holding Wurtzbach by the waist as they gaze into each other’s eyes, with letter balloons behind them spelling out, “Marlene.” Their heads, however, blocked the letters L and N, which is why at first look, a lot of Wurtzbach’s followers thought it said, “Marry Me.”
The two first started dating in 2016, and Wurtzbach admitted they were in a relationship in January 2017. Their relationship, like all relationships, had its fair share of challenges. Back in March last year, Stockinger’s ex-girlfriend Kit Barraquias revealed that Stockinger is the biological father of her twins, much to the public’s surprise.
While some thought Barraquias’ revelation marked the end of Wurtzbach and Stockinger’s relationship, Stockinger has since assured people that nothing’s changed between him and Pia. Since then, the two have been nothing but steadfast in their love and devotion for each other and have been enjoying each other’s company by embarking on many travels.
