Matteo Guidicelli used to think that 28 would be an ideal age for him to get married. But now that the actor has finally reached that mark, he’s still unsure if he’s ready for it: “Life always has new things to offer, so let’s see what happens.”

That was Matteo’s measured response when asked if he’s now ready to settle down with girlfriend Sarah Geronimo.

But while he was reticent about his romance with Sarah, he assured us that their relationship was “growing” and has been going through a “beautiful evolution.” “It’s not always ups; there are downs, too,” he pointed out. “But things are good.”

He celebrated his 28th birthday in Palawan last Holy Week with his loved ones, including Sarah. The couple rarely gets the chance to go out of town together.

“It was our first or second time … It was nice to have spent time with her,” he said, adding that it was Sarah who got the coveted permission from her parents for the trip.

But while Matteo and Sarah avoided using their mobile phones during the trip, the guests didn’t. So, fans still managed to get updates through Instagram photos and videos posted by other revelers, such as Nico Bolzico, husband of Solenn Heussaff.

The couple was seen swimming and playing games on the beach. They also had an impromptu jamming session that left their supporters feeling kilig.

Meanwhile, Matteo will take part in “Signed, Sold, Delivered,” a fundraising initiative for the benefit of ABS-CBN’s Bantay Bata, Operation Sagip and Bantay Kalikasan foundations. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
