Sharon cites reasons for not attending daughter KC’s jewelry line launch, besides having dinner with Duterte

Sharon Cuneta opted to skip the launch of KC Conception’s jewelry line launch not just because she was in a meeting with President Duterte.
She said it would have felt awkward to see both Gabby Concepcion, KC’s dad, and her hubby, Kiko Pangilinan, in the same room with her. It turned out, however, that Gabby couldn’t make it that night.
Still another reason the megastar stated in an Instagram post is that she didn’t want to unintentionally steal the spotlight from her daughter.
She writes, “It would’ve been awkward had I been at KC’s avec moi jewelry launch had both her papa [Gabby] and dad [Kiko] -then I- been there. Turns out her Pa wasn’t able to make it. Still, glad I didn’t go to unintentionally steal any of KC’s thunder or happiness.”

Furthermore, it turns out KC got a heads-up from her mom that she was having dinner with the President prior to the Avec Moi launch event.

Even though Sharon couldn’t make it to the event, she did purchase a necklace and ring from among the 26 pieces being sold that night. KC also promised to make her a ring similar to a piece in the collection that the megastar had set her eyes on but that someone else had beat her to it. /ra
