It’s easy to see why the 28-year-old actor is comfortable with going shirtless in roles or commercials, such as in what appears to be a new project with actresses Solenn Heussaff and Gina Alajar.

Unsurprisingly, Alves’ favorite workout is boxing. His routine includes jump rope and speed bag, according to a GMA report. On top of that, he plays basketball and goes to the gym to tone his muscles.

He’s got the brains too: the actor graduated summa cum laude from the University of Guam with an English literature degree. Alves grew up in Guam with his family and entered show biz in 2008, but stopped to go to college.

The actor has starred in both mainstream and indie roles, such as in the TV series “Wagas” and indie films “Sana Dati” and “Heneral Luna.”  /ra
