Before becoming mom to the most adorable kids in showbiz, Chesca Garcia Kramer first had her humble beginnings as a young star and teen icon back in the ‘90s. Just recently, she dug up history and shared a few memorabilia of her teeny bopper days with her fellow showbiz batch mates.

FEATURED STORIES

Looking very young, Garcia stormed showbiz as the fresh-faced mestiza on ABS-CBN’s phenomenal youth-oriented show “Ang TV”. She posted the photos on Instagram.

She wrote, “Throwback to my Ang TV days to Star Circle. I remember everything like it was just yesterday!”

Group photo was definitely an in thing back in the day. Having kept these memories safe through the years, she was able to reminisce the good old days with her “Ang TV” co-stars which included likes of Rica Peralejo, Erika Fife, Lindsay Custodio, Guila Avarez, Farrah Florer and Jacqui Manzano-Yllana.

Another photo she posted was a mix of both teen stars and child stars. Among those were her little brother Patrick Garcia, good friend Antoinette Taus, Tom Taus, Steffano Mori, Thou Reyes, Baron Geisler and Kristopher Peralta.

This time, she was with Kaye Abad, Paolo Contis and Peralta. The photo was in black and white.

Lastly, she took a screen grab of the opening credits of “Ang TV” which then introduced her by her real name Franchesca.

Back in the early ‘90s, ABS-CBN thought of establishing its own stable of stars exclusively for the network.

Originally called Talent Center, it launched young stars to stardom batch after batch. These batches were then known as Star Circle. Eventually the management has rebranded it to what is known now as Star Magic.

Among its first projects was “Ang TV” which launched the career of a long list of young stars who are now some of today’s finest actors.

Apart from “Ang TV,” Garcia also became a cast member of ‘90s youth-oriented series “Gimik”.

Among her movies were “Sakal Sakali Saklolo” in 2007, “Kasal Kasali Kasalo” in 2006, “All About Love” in 2006, “Now That I Have You” in 2004, and “Flames: The Movie” in 1997 to name a few.  /muf
