Won Jin-ah, Lee Dong-wook take roles in new medical drama

Won Jin-ah has been announced as the female lead in the upcoming JTBC network’s medical drama ”Life“, together with acting heavyweights Lee Dong-wook, Cho Seung-woo and Moon So-ri, according to her agency’s officials.

It was reported by K-Pop Herald that Won was added to the cast just a month after her debut drama, “Just Between Lovers”, ended in late-January. Lee, who will play a doctor, and Cho, who will take the role of a hospital chief director, were confirmed as cast members in January. Moon will play the head of the hospital’s neurosurgery department.

In the upcoming drama, which is slated to start in July, Won is set to play a doctor at the pediatric department of the hospital. It is written by Lee Soo-yeon, who debuted in 2017 with the tvN drama “Stranger”.

The medical drama will be directed by television producer Hong Jong-chan, who was well received for his recent production of “The Most Beautiful Goodbye in the World“, ”Deserving of the Name“ and “Dear My Friends”. JB
