Repeating clothes used to be a criminal fashion faux pas of yore, committed by no other than repeat-outfit offenders. These days, however, the tides have changed and the likes of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and actress and fashionista-at-heart Heart Evangelista are praised for re-wearing their basic, timeless pieces. So surely a 2-year-old baby such as baby Primo should be spared from such flak?

In Instagram photos posted by mom Iya Villania last night of the gender reveal of her second baby, a netizen (@jemarcosses) quipped in the comments why baby Primo is always wearing the same clothes.

Villania quickly responded to the netizen, saying that as long as Primo’s clothes are washed and clean then there shouldn’t be a problem.

“As long as those clothes are washed and clean, I don’t see what the problem would be,” wrote back Villania. “This is a funny concern. Kids grow out of their clothes fast so I like to keep it basic. If you want to buy him clothes then by all means go ahead.”

Meanwhile, fans quickly came to the defense of Villania. One commenter (@mambo_number6) wrote that it looks cleaner and better when children wear white clothes. “Kahit anak ko ever since white pinasusuot ko dahil mas maganda tignan. Anyways, pati ba naman ang bata di pinalalagpas… Kaloka.”

(Even when it comes to my child, I make them wear white because it’s more pleasant to the eyes. Anyway, why drag a child in the first place… Crazy.)

Another netizen (9@third082912) shared the same sentiments, saying that white is really nice and neat. “My son is 5 years old now and I still prefer him wearing white over anything. And Primo looks just sooo adorable in them too. Actually he can wear anything and looks gwapo (handsome),” the netizen wrote. “But why do we care? Gahd he’s a kid. And he doesn’t look madungis (dirty) naman. In fact, nakakagigil nga yung cuteness niya eh. (His cuteness is irresistible). Tigilan niyo siya (leave him alone) please.”

Another netizen reminded the critic to be tactful when making comments. “@jenmarcosses wow naman, your comment! Does it matter ba? Sana naman be tactful when making comments! Make sure it’s not offending and crude. Peace out.”

Iya Villania and husband Drew Arellano are expecting their second baby. In their gender reveal party over the weekend in Avant Garde CrossFit gym, it was made known that the two are having another baby boy when Arellano popped one of the balloons and a cloud of blue powder erupted.
