LOOK: Cannes Best Actress Jaclyn Jose renews contract with GMA
Award-winning veteran actress Jaclyn Jose stayed loyal to her home network as she renewed her contract on Monday, making her one of the many exclusive contract stars under GMA Network. Present with Jose during the contract signing were her manager Perry Lansigan, GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and senior assistant vice president for alternative productions Gigi Santiago-Lara.

Lansigan shared on Instagram pictures of Jose during the contract signing, where he expressed his gratitude to GMA. “We just renewed our ties with GMA,” wrote Lansigan. “Thank you GMA 7 for always trusting my artist Jaclyn Jose.”
Jose,who was awarded Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, was also interviewed after the contract signing and given a bouquet of flowers.

This year looks bright and exciting for Jose as she starts gearing up for the big projects set to come her way, one of which is the telebabad series “The Cure.”
“The Cure” comes after Jose’s last project, “Alyas Robin Hood,” where she starred with actor Dingdong Dantes and which ended last November.
Jose will be playing the role of a doctor who discovers a cure for cancer; like most science fiction stories, however, things go wrong and Jose and the people around her find themselves fighting against a deadly epidemic. Actor Tom Rodriguez and actress Jennylyn Mercado are set to star alongside Jose for the upcoming series. /ra
