Freddie Aguilar’s pregnant wife escapes fire at singer’s QC home

The wife of singer Freddie Aguilar fled unhurt when fire hit their house in North Fairview, Quezon City, late Tuesday night.

Fire started from Aguilar’s music room at about 11 p.m., a report from Radyo Inquirer said.

Emergency dispatch TXTFire Philippines said the fire reached first alarm at 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, and was declared fire out at 11:39 p.m.

Radyo Inquirer said no one was hurt in the fire that damaged the singer’s art collection, musical instruments and awards.

Aguilar told Radyo Inquirer that he was at a bar in Tomas Morato when the incident happened.

The QC Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has not come up with an estimate of the damage but Aquilar said his house cost from P13 to P15 million.

Aguilar’s wife, Jovie who is pregnant, safely escaped the fire with the help of a neighbor. /cbb
