Liza Diño calls out to bloggers who spread ‘fake news’
Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chair Liza Diño aired her sentiments over the increasingly heated debate on the issue of fake news.
In a recent Facebook post, she shouted out to bloggers telling them that personal agendas cannot give birth to fair and balanced news.
“Hangga’t pareho kayong may agendang pangsarili at makasarili, hinding hindi kayo makapaglalahad ng katotohanang PATAS at walang kinikilingan,” she wrote.
(As long as you have personal agendas, you can never deliver fair and impartial truth.)
She closed it with an hitting one-word statement “ENOUGH.”
The increasing tension over the proliferation of fake news online has prompted the Senate to conduct a hearing on the subject, attended by invited bloggers. /ra
