Daniel Dae Kim takes over ‘whitewashed’ role

/ 12:10 AM October 20, 2017

After the whitewashing controversy that led to Ed Skrein leaving the cast of the new “Hellboy” film, ex-“Hawaii Five-O” star Daniel Dae Kim has taken over the role of Ben Daimio. Skrein quit after learning that the character wasn’t supposed to be Caucasian.

Kim and his “Hawaii Five-O” costar Grace Park left the TV series after seven seasons, after not being offered the same salary as their white costars.

Kim and Skrein eventually got together and posed for a photo, which the former posted on Instagram. —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
