Today, the world celebrates International Teachers Day (or World Teachers’ Day), the time of the year when educators are recognized for their unparalleled contribution to society. In time for this global celebration, two of the most adorable kids in local showbiz pay tribute to teachers—Baeby Baste and his equally cute little brother, Samsam.

In a series of recent Instagram posts, the cute brothers were shown writing their “thank you” messages for their teachers on colorful stick-on sheets. Noticeably, the photo’s caption was partly written in Visayan, as the family hails from General Santos City.

And today, as they both went to school, they gave out the greeting: “HAPPY TEACHER’S DAY Teacher Allen, Teacher Dada, Teacher Maia and Ms. Lina… thank you po.”

Baste is currently the youngest host of the long-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga”. The little boy wonder shot to fame as an online sensation for his singing and dubsmash videos. However, it was his stint as Baeby Baste in the show’s Kalyeserye segment that catapulted him to greater popularity. He was assigned as the substitute to Pambansang Bae Alden Richards whenever the latter goes out for other engagements, thus the birth of his love team with Yaya Dub Maine Mendoza, “BasDub”.

The child host has ventured into acting through his upcoming first film, the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 official entry “Meant To Beh”, top-billed by comedian Vic Sotto and veteran actress Dawn Zulueta. JB
