Ex-couples cross paths at Star Magic Ball

Another notable thing about this year’s Star Magic Ball is the sight of former couples who were seen coming separately. Some attended with new dates, while others came in solo.
Spotted were former teen stars John Prats and Heart Evangelista. They were once one of ABS-CBN’s hottest love teams, rose to fame in the late 1990s and continued to charm fans until the early 2000s. Their on-screen partnership turned into real-life romance. Prats was once quoted to have said theirs was a story of “baby love.” Now, they’re both happily married and are still active in their showbiz careers.
Prats came to the ball with his wife, actress Isabel Oli.

Meanwhile, Evangelista was escorted by her husband, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

Incidentally, another one of Evangelista’s former boyfriends, actor Jericho Rosales, was also part of this year’s Star Magic Ball. He is now married to model Kim Jones, but walked the red carpet alone.

Former Kapamilya actors Diether Ocampo and Kristine Hermosa’s relationship in the past led them to a secret marriage. The two eventually separated and their annulment was granted, which allowed them freedom to marry again.
Now, both of them lead separate and happy lives. Hermosa is married to actor Oyo Sotto, and together, they have four kids. Hermosa also happened to be an ex-girlfriend of Rosales. They once top-billed one of ABS-CBN’s most unforgettable drama series, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”.

Meanwhile, Ocampo is now moving on with his life as a Kapuso talent.

“A Love To Last” star Bea Alonzo was once seen attending a previous Star Magic Ball with former longtime boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo. Now, they both have moved on.
Alonzo walked the red carpet with Gerald Anderson.

Anderson also had exes at the event. His original love team partner Kim Chiu and actress-dancer Maja Salvador were also present at the ball.
Chiu walked the red carpet with rumored boyfriend Xian Lim.

Not too long ago, actress Erich Gonzales’ break-up with Daniel Matsunaga hit the headlines. Speculations of money-related issues surfaced as among the reasons for their bitter separation. Now, the two have once again stepped into the the same venue as they both attended this year’s Ball.

Matsunaga came with his sister Vanessa, who has defended him from bashers at the height of the break-up. Matsunaga also happens to be Evangelista’s ex-boyfriend.
