‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ may be split into 2 parts, Olivia Munn says

Following the mixed reviews of “X-Men: Apocalypse” last year, a new saga entitled “Dark Phoenix” is slated to be released in November next year.

As the title suggests, the upcoming film seems to center on the alter-ego persona of Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner in the last film and Famke Janssen in earlier films.

Still, details of the movie remain scarce, up until  Olivia Munn revealed some juicy details on the next adventures of Earth’s mightiest mutants.

“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say,” Munn, who played the telekinetic, katana-weilding “Psylocke” in the last instalment, told the Collider. “I’m supposed to be vague. That’s my answer. I’m horrible at that. It’s like a two-parter, this movie. That’s more than I’ve said, in general. I don’t know why people have to be so secretive.”

If the film will indeed be split into two parts, director Simon Kinberg won’t lack material, as “The Dark Phoenix Saga” from the comics is filled with tons of action—with the character meeting with alien races like the Shi’ar and committing a galactic genocide.

“X-Men: Dark Phoenix” marks the return of James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Alexandra Ship as Storm, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler.  /ra
