‘John Wick: Chapter 3’ confirmed for May 2019 release

It seems that more blood and gore is coming viewers’ way, as Lionsgate confirmed the release of “John Wick: Chapter 3” on May 17, 2019.

With Keanu Reeves at the forefront as the cold-blooded titular character, the shooter franchise has become an unexpected hit in the box office, with the first two films raking in a combined $260 million in worldwide grosses.

Directors David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are both expected to return for the trilogy, while  screenwriter Derek Kolstad will return to pen the third installment, according to Variety.

The initial film in 2014 showed a retired hitman who reverted to his old ways to avenge the killing of f his puppy, which was gifted to him by his late wife.

The film’s popularity paved the way for a sequel  last February, where Wick annihilated numerous bounty hunters seeking the huge price placed on his head. /ra
