John Lloyd Cruz airs regret to Ogie Diaz: ‘Natuto ako, Ogs’

Entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz shared his encounter with controversial Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz when he saw him on the set of their sitcom, “Home Sweetie Home”.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the comedian narrated the actor’s feelings over his recent viral videos. Cruz drew flak for allegedly being too insensitive and appearing as if intoxicated while enjoying himself with his friends, including sexy actress Ellen Adarna. He was particularly called out for flashing off the dirty finger.
The comedian said a hug was his immediate welcome to the actor.
Diaz quoted Cruz as the actor said, “Natuto ako (I learned), Ogs. Wala naman akong pinagsisisihan (but I don’t regret anything), we were enjoying that time. Nalungkot lang talaga ako dun sa (I just felt bad on the) dirty finger. Ayoko siyang makita ng mga bata (I don’t want kids to see it). I’ve learned so much from this. I’m really sorry.”
Diaz also said Cruz feels vindicated because despite the overwhelming criticisms, he still has some supporters who stood for him.
“Gulat talaga ako du’n (I was really shocked). Dami nag-defend din sa akin sa mga (a lot of people also defended me in their) comments. Nakakatuwa. Pero siyempre (It’s flattering but still), lesson learned for me ito. Thank you sa lahat (… to all).”
Cruz also claims accountability over everything and appealed to the public to spare Adarna and their crew.
In closing, the columnist stood up for the actor.
“Wala naman siyang tinapakang ibang tao, wala naman siyang dinehadong kapwa. Naalala pa rin ng mga tao na TAO lang din si Lloydi. Tulad natin, nagkakamali, nagsisisi at natututo. Nangyari na ang nangyari, next step: moving on and moving forward.”
(He never stepped on nor wronged anyone. People still remember that Lloydi is just human. Like us, he makes mistakes, regrets and learns. What’s done is done. Next step: moving on and moving forward.)
