Greedy personality’s new venture flounders big time

/ 12:05 AM September 13, 2017

What a shocker! Turns out Cantankerous Personality’s greed knows no limits.
CP invested a sizable fortune on an exciting, new venture. CP, who was extra close with the Powers That Be at the time, could easily part with tons of moolah any time.
But then again, karma dealt CP a bum hand.
CP’s Influential Backers were sacked by the “bosses.” Worse, CP’s budding endeavor got entangled in a web of controversies.
CP’s massive investment was in danger of going down the drain overnight.
It was a close call.
No wonder, CP was in a foul mood recently.

Magnificent obsession
It was a messy affair.
Veteran Insider had a difficult time letting go of Attractive Ward.
Unfortunately, AW had enough of VI’s meddlesome ways. AW wanted to cut ties, quickly and cleanly.
VI kept begging, nay pestering, AW for another chance.
It was embarrassing.
VI was obsessed, and AW got spooked.

Dealbreaker
Perhaps VI knew about AW’s checkered past.
Turned out AW was not so pristine, after all.
AW once had an affair with another Influential Benefactor. If AW fooled around with IB, why not VI?
But then again, perhaps AW couldn’t stomach the thought of hooking up with VI.
That was the ultimate deal-breaker.
Can’t really blame AW.

Fruity salad
Pushy Celebrity’s shameless behavior never fails to infuriate colleagues.
Day in and day out, PC ceaselessly “hypes” Hapless Kin’s achievements among buddies. PC keeps blabbing about HK—as if the poor, mediocre hack were God’s gift to show business.
It seems HK is not entirely clueless and can be just as aggressive and off-putting as PC.
It must be hereditary.
Alas, the caimito doesn’t fall far from the star apple tree.

Busy body
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
Peers avoid Glamorous Newbie like the plague.
GN can be too assertive for comfort, demanding to be the center of attention each and every time.
GN is determined to hog the spotlight and will not think twice about sticking her perky nose in every topic—even if it has nothing to do with her. GN can be a busybody, indeed.
It’s pretty tiring, keeping up with GN. Kibitzers are wondering why GN didn’t take after Famous Relatives, who are humble and unassuming.
Tsk. Tsk.
