Gerald: PH bikers always on the losing end

Gerald Anderson: “I swim, bike and run every day.”

Does Gerald Anderson see himself living a quiet life when he’s older, and far away from all the stellar hustle and bustle of Tinseltown? “I want a long and productive career as an actor. But, it’s one of my dreams to live in a quiet place outside the big city,” the 28-year-old actor told Inquirer Entertainment. “Sanay na ako sa ganito, pero nakakapagod din (I’m used to it, but it also gets tiring), because of all the traffic. So, it’s nice to occasionally get away from it all. When I’m older, I want a place that’s a little farther from the city.

“I love Manila, pero iba kapag lagi akong nasa crowd, nasasakal ako (I get suffocated). Getting on a bike is a breather for me, but that isn’t something I can easily do in the metropolis because, unlike Amsterdam in The Netherlands, ours isn’t biker-friendly. So, I go to Laguna, Subic or Clark…

“Here, it’s dangerous, ikaw ang dehado—and bikers are always on the losing end.” —RITO ASILO
