T.G.I.S. cast reunites in a ‘Road Trip’ episode in Bohol

More than 20 years ago, perhaps the most phenomenal teen-oriented show in the ’90s was born.
“T.G.I.S,” or “Thank God It’s Sabado,” greatly inspired the youth of the decade and their loyal fans wished the cast members had a reunion.
But while it hasn’t happened yet, four of them had a mini-reunion as they hopped in on GMA’s travel show “Road Trip.”
Through recent Instagram posts by cast members Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Michael Flores and Bernadette Allyson, the former teen stars reminisced about the good old days as they toured the beautiful province of Bohol.
De Leon was just too happy about their “Roadtrip reunion.”

De Leon then played the role of Ma. Patrice “Peachy” Real. Being the central character of the show, she was among the most well-loved of the cast members. Even now, she’s still remembered as the bubbly Peachy who was paired with her on-screen partner, Bobby Andrews, who played the role of Joaquin “Wacks” Torres.
Thankful for the love of her supporters, she gave a “shoutout to all the TGIS/Growing Up fans.”

Their “Road Trip” episode is set to air on Sept. 17. De Leon then called out to the fans to “mark you calendars guys!!”

“T.G.I.S” officially debuted on Aug. 12, 1995, and bid goodbye to television on Nov. 27, 1999. Halfway through the series, the original cast was moved up to its spinoff show “Growing Up.”
The show’s success gave way to two movies featuring the entire T.G.I.S. crew, namely, “Where ‘D’ Girls ‘R” in 1996 and “T.G.I.S.: The Movie” in 1997. /ra
