Watching Lovi turn into a comedienne in her latest film reminds me of what her famous dad, Fernando Poe Jr., told me, “I don’t like seeing people making ‘pangalumbaba’ (sad pose), because even when things aren’t going well, there’s always something to be happy about.”

If your father were still around, what birthday gift would you have given him last Aug. 20, his birthday? Time. And I will tell him, “Carpe diem.”
If you could be a man for a month, who would you want to trade places with? Ryan Gosling, so I get to work on the same movie projects as he does, and know how it feels to be him.
What do you find hard to understand about men? Why they aren’t wired to understand women.
What’s one crazy fantasy of yours? Having the best of both worlds. They always say we can’t have everything we want, but who knows? There’s no problem in fantasizing about it, either.
What have you found out about Vhong? That he can also be serious. He’s known to be funny, but he has that side of him that makes him mysterious.
Does transferring to ABS-CBN cross your mind? I’m happy where I am at the moment.
How do you handle bashers? I try my best to take the high road and think that it must be hard to be in their position. I can’t imagine a life filled with so much hate. They must be living a hard life.
Would you give up your career for love? No, because I’m a career-oriented person. And I don’t want to end up blaming my partner for my lack of self-fulfillment.
