She also said that the chemistry on-screen was more than acting.  “It’s hard to fake. It’s hard to pretend. Iyon ang hindi ko kayang gawin (I can’t do that).

When asked what would make them take their relationship to the next level, Barretto said, “Sa totoo lang, if I’m being honest, wala naman nang kailangang gawin (there’s nothing more to be done). It’s just a matter of time. It will just happen, but he doesn’t really have to prove anything anymore.”

Abunda put her on the spot with the final question: “Last night of the world, and sabi ni Joshua, ‘Julia, yes or no? Will you marry me?’”

Barretto appeared shocked. “Marry?” she asked, then answered, “Yes.”

Although not an official couple just yet, the pair has been sharing pictures of themselves together in social media, and Garcia has been welcome in her family.

Their latest movie, “Love You to the Stars and Back” is now showing in theaters nationwide. Niña V. Guno/JB
