Anne Curtis reminisces about her love team with Chubi del Rosario

Theirs was her “first and only” love team.
Kapamilya ace actress Anne Curtis is among the few stars who lived a stellar career in show biz without a longtime love team. But once in her life, during her teen years, she was paired with one, former teen actor and ex-boyfriend Chubi del Rosario.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress reminisced about the good old days by posting a throwback photo of her 15-year-old self with Del Rosario.
Mixing names of love teams aren’t a thing back in the ’90s. But even so, Curtis jokingly stands firm that “Before KathNiel, JaDine, LizQuen mayroong [there was] CHUBI-ANNE! 😂 LELZ.”
She added: “NOTE: You’ll only get this post if Batang 90’s ka!”

Curtis and Del Rosario were among the new breeds of teen stars back in the late ’90s. Most notably, they were remembered as part of the third batch of the phenomenal ’90s teen-oriented show “T.G.I.S” or “Thank God It’s Sabado” in 1997. Once upon a time, she was “Em” and he was “Reyster.” Del Rosario was an original cast member of the series and was briefly paired with then young actress Idelle Martinez. But when Martinez left the show, Curtis replaced her as Del Rosario’s love interest.
The most notable movie they did together was the horror flick “Ika-13 Kapitulo” in 2000. They last worked together in GMA’s primetime series “Ang Iibigin ay Ikaw”. It was also Del Rosario’s last regular TV appearance before leaving show biz.
Teen groups were also a fad in the ’90s. Back then she was part of a teen trio including fellow former teen actresses Aiza Marquez and Maui Taylor, they altogether starred in the teen flick “Honey, My Love, So Sweet”.
Recently, the two met again when T.G.I.S batch 3 had a dinner get-together. Anne Curtis and Chubi del Rosario were then both under Viva Entertainment. /ra
