To support her sister Joyce’s battle with cancer, comedienne Kathy Griffin has shaved her head. Their mother, Maggie, retweeted from writer Yashar Ali the photos of her seeing Kathy’s bald head for the first time. The Griffin matriarch wrote in the caption, “My daughter Mary Kathleen is a wonderful human being.”
In 2014, Kathy’s older brother, Gary, succumbed to esophageal cancer after a two-year battle. The controversial jokester received messages of support for her family on Twitter, but has yet to post pics of her new look on her other social media accounts. —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
