Ahron Villena apologizes to Cacai Bautista

After dropping the bombshell “Naging tayo ba (Were we ever in a relationship)?” on his “best friend” Cacai Bautista, Kapamilya actor Ahron Villena recently took to Facebook to apologize.
Villena admitted that his words were “quite strong” but claimed that they were not intentional. “I am angry, and the words that came out are those of an angry person. I apologize if I became offensive but everything I said are true,” he said.
He said he found it unacceptable that his reputation gets tarnished just to further someone’s promotions for a show.
Bautista is set to stage a comedy concert entitled “Live, Love, Laugh” at the Ceremonial Hall of Marriott Grand Ballroom at Resorts World Manila on Aug. 12-13.
“I personally believe that I did the right thing in having my ‘voice heard’ because I refuse to let my reputation be abused by a person who finds it convenient to use me for the promotion of her upcoming show,” Villena said.
Villena’s outburst came after the commedienne, during a press conference for her forthcoming concert, answered, after being asked if Villena had introduced his “special someone” to her, thus: “Sinagot ko na ‘yan dati. Alam ko naman yun, and accepted ko naman kung ano man siya (I said yes to him before. I know what he is and I accepted him for whoever he is).”
Villena revealed that some people were of the opinion that “I deserve to be outed because namahiya ako” (… I shamed somebody).

Villena said people were guessing what Bautista meant with her comment. He has this to say about what the public may have speculated: “Ngayon eto na naman ako (Here I am again) defending not my sexuality like what she intentionally implied, because some of you have obviously formed your own opinion based on what you want to believe.”
Saying his rage has subsided, Villena said he would like to say sorry to Bautista “dahil hanggang ngayon pala may sama pa rin yata siya ng loob sa akin (because until now [I didn’t know that] she still harbors bitterness over me).”
He maintained that he has always considered Bautista a good friend and would continue to consider her as such.
“For now I will find it in my heart to forgive her,” he said.

Villena in the past referred to Bautista several times as his “best friend.” He has always thanked her for all the things she had done for him. Last year, Villena thanked her for a surprise birthday party she had prepared for him. All this gave birth to rumors that they were dating.
Bautista was also previously linked to German-Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer. /ra
