Alec Baldwin’s daughter recalls hurtful voicemail meltdown

/ 12:20 AM July 01, 2017

Alec Baldwin’s leaked voicemail meltdown 10 years ago, where he angrily called Ireland, his daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger, a “rude, thoughtless little pig,” caused the former “30 Rock” star distress and embarrassment, he told “Good Morning America” last April. “It’s a scab that never heals,” he disclosed.

He and his model daughter can laugh about it now. A few days ago, Ireland was one of the celebrities who roasted her father at a tribute event, Spike TV’s “One Night Only: Alec Baldwin,” which will air in the US next week.

Ireland went onstage and talked about moving on: “That was a decade ago, and my dad and I are in a much better place now. He would never say something like that—because I’m 6’2” and I would kick his ass!”

She then turned serious and added, “That whole awful period nearly killed him emotionally. I [didn’t] see my dad that upset ever again—until I showed him my first tattoo! OK, my second tattoo. I couldn’t show him where I got the first one.”

And to reiterate that she’s forgiven him, she told him, “I’m really proud to be your daughter, and I’m so happy to be here tonight. I absolutely love and adore you.”

Katy’s ‘kiss and tell’ moment: John better than Orlando in bed

When pop star Katy Perry was prodded by late-night TV host James Corden to rank her ex-boyfriends according to their prowess in bed, the “Witness” singer put musician John Mayer at first place, followed by actor Orlando Bloom and EDM artist Diplo.

How does John feel about topping Katy’s list? Based on his response to Rolling Stone in a recent interview, he seems indifferent. “I don’t have a cool enough thought for you,” he said, before continuing with an answer that was ambiguous at best: “I have hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I’m having the time of my life. I’m 39—I remember [when I was] 32 (when he talked about sexual partners). I don’t want to do it again.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT, ALLAN POLICARPIO
