James Reid says his girlfriend should get along with his friends

James Reid believes that his girlfriend should be able to get along well with his friends.
He made the statement on his June 25 guesting at the talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice”. Host Vice Ganda shared that Reid once said he wants his friends and his girlfriend to go well together. Reid considers himself lucky that his friends are cool with his on-screen partner and real-life girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
Yet Vice Ganda, despite the presence of Lustre in the episode, asked Reid: should his girlfriend tend to not get along well with his friends, who would he rather choose?
“Kung hindi sila okay, sinong i-le-let go mo, [If they’re not okay, who would you let go] the girl or your friends?” asked the TV host.
Reid answered: “Hirap nu’n. I think with all my friends, dapat mag-click ‘yung girl dapat marunong siyang makisama. (That’s hard. The girl should know how to get along.) Nadine is already good friends with Bret [Jackson] and my other friends.”
Meanwhile, his friend and fellow Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010 housemate Bret Jackson agreed that Lustre is indeed good for Reid.
“Nadine is a very, very great girl. I really would protect her from anyone,” said Jackson.
Nadine Lustre and James Reid officially became a couple during their 2016 “JaDine In Love” concert at the Araneta Coliseum. As the announcement was made in such a public platform, it was first doubted by many that it might just be for further publicity.
Reid and Lustre have also endured countless bashings, especially concerning their alleged “attitude problem” which was repeatedly reported in different occasions. JB
