To fulfill his longtime ambition, Ryan Agoncillo joined a team of Filipino motorcycle enthusiasts in crossing the Himalayas onto one of the “highest motorable roads” in the world.

The host, who took a leave from his hosting duties in noontime show “Eat Bulaga,” drove up to the Khardung La mountain pass, which is 18,380 feet above sea level. Accompanying Agoncillo in the nine-day journey were Jimmy Barinaga, Raul Ona, Omar Sebastian, Dian Dayag, Bong Diaz and Kannan Sreedevi, an Indian national.

“The experience of riding in extreme cold weather, rough and often ice-slushed terrain that has stretched our physical, mental and emotional being has humbled us deeply,” Barinaga, who claimed that they were the first Filipino riders to land on the Indian mountain pass, said on the group’s Facebook page.
