WATCH: Brace for epic battles in the latest season of ‘Game of Thrones’

/ 01:22 PM June 22, 2017

Epic battles await your favorite characters in the latest “Game of Thrones” season 7 trailer.

The introduction parallels that of the first trailer, but instead of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) talking about enemies in all parts of Westeros, Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen) has another take.

“Fight every battle everywhere, always, in your mind,” he says in a voiceover as Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) treads on snow.

To survive, alliances are important. “The enemy is real,” Jon Snow warns.

Though political and personal foes will need to band together against the White Walkers, it appears they are still at each other’s throats.

The first half of the trailer shows characters in different parts of Westeros preparing for battle: Jon going further North into the harsh winter, Daenerys walking into Dragonstone, and Arya traveling, among others.

The battle rages in the second half, and none of the forces seem to be holding back. Dragons, flaming swords, battleships, and clashes with White Walkers are what we can look forward to in the acclaimed series’ second to the last season.

There’s an ominous hint to a possible death, as Sansa says, “The lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”
