After over a year of marriage, finally, a baby’s ‘on board’

Moments after her husband, Vic Sotto, unexpectedly announced on the noontime show “Eat Bulaga!” on Saturday that they were expecting their first baby together, Pauleen Luna shared with her 1.5 million followers on Instagram a photo of her showing off her baby bump. The photo was taken during Vic’s recent 63rd birthday celebration in Balesin, Quezon province.
In another post, Pauleen related that she couldn’t be more “proud and excited to be a mom.”
“A bun in the oven! Thank you to my handsome [hubby] for surprising me with this announcement,” wrote the actress, who’s 10 weeks pregnant. “Thank you, Lord, for being so gracious!”
Meanwhile, in a text message to the Inquirer, Pauleen said that, for this year, she’s not making any immediate career plans and will be putting “family first.”
“Vic and I have been wanting to have a baby ever since we got married,” she added.
Sotto, who earlier wished his wife a “successful” pregnancy, has four other children from past relationships: Danica and Oyo Boy, with Dina Bonnevie; Vico, with Coney Reyes; and Paulina, with Angela Luz.
