Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach on Wednesday met with the executives of broadcast giant ABS-CBN, as fans continued to speculate that the beauty queen might play the titular role of “Darna” in an upcoming film.

Wurtzbach’s manager Jonas Gaffud posted a photo of the lunch meeting on Instagram, which was attended by former ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, Linggit Tan, Mariole Alberto, Malou Santos, Lauren Dyogi and director Olivia Lamasan.

Wurtzbach’s name surfaced as a possible replacement for Angel Locsin in an upcoming “Darna” film, but she said she did not bag the role as ABS-CBN might have other plans for her.

Wurtzbach, who passed on her crown to Iris Mittenaere of France in January, is appearing as guest judge in the current season of “Asia’s Next Top Model.” She is set to host the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 coronation night on Sunday, April 30, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. YG
