Fan raves over chance encounter with Coldplay’s Chris Martin

How lucky could she be! A fan managed to grab an opportunity to have her picture taken with none other than Coldplay’s charismatic frontman, Chris Martin, during a random encounter in Manila’s premier tourist attraction.
Facebook user Trisha Agbisit left an assemblage of Coldplay fans “green with envy” after she shared a post about her fangirl moment after she and her friend saw Martin enter a fast-food chain in Intramuros on Monday, a day before their “A Head Full of Dreams” gig held at SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.
Agbisit, a college student, narrated how Martin “hypnotized” her on that fortuitous afternoon. “Noong una, hindi ko pinansin kasi natural na sa Intramuros ‘yung makasalubong ka ng mga ‘Kano o Koreano (At first, I didn’t mind him because it is natural to see Americans or Koreans around Intramuros),” she said. But when Agbisit gave a second look and noticed that the foreigner who was ordering at the counter was Martin, she giggled and immediately asked for a selfie.

“Nagpupumiglas ako sa gilid kasi di puwedeng makita ‘nung iba (I was bolting at one side because other people should not notice him),” she recounted.”‘Yung mga crew pati yung manager natatawa na lang sa ‘kin (The crew and even the manager were laughing at me).”
After taking a picture, she and her friend were offered drinks by two of the British band’s handlers. Just like any other fan who personally met Martin, they were given a “love button” as a souvenir.
Before her idol left the place, Agbisit fangirled again, this time cherishing a souvenir and a memory of Martin.
“Actually pagkasakay ni Chris Martin sa sasakyan binaba pa nila yung window. Nagsisigaw na lang ako ng, ‘Chris Martin, I love you!’ (After Chris Martin boarded the car, they scrolled down the car window. I was shouting, ‘Chris Martin I love you!’),” Agbisit added. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
