Zanjoe Marudo says he doesn’t believe in the notion that when a person is successful in his career, he is unlucky in love.

“If you do your job well, you’ll be well-compensated,” he said. “It’s the same with love. If you treat women fairly and with respect, and you don’t intentionally hurt their feelings, you will eventually find the perfect girl for you. I do crazy things for a girl when I’m in love. I want her to be happy when she’s with me. It’s been a while since I’ve felt that—I hope I find her this year.” —MARINEL R. CRUZ
