Two Filipino films will be shown at the 15th Pune International Film Festival in India, from Jan. 12 to 19. Joel Lamangan’s “Siphayo” and Louie Ignacio’s “Laut” will be shown in the fest’s Global Cinema section. According to its website, the festival aims “to entertain and inspire” with screen gems from all over the world.

The Film and Television Institute of India, “the country’s premier film school,” and the National Film Archive of India are located in Pune, making it “a movie lover’s paradise,” the fest’s website related. —BAYANI SAN DIEGO JR.
