Filipino films in Dubai fest

Adolf Alix’s “Isda,” to Toronto and Busan

Two Filipino films will be featured at the 8th Dubai International Film Festival, set from Dec. 7 to 14. Arnel Mardoquio’s “Crossfire” is competing in the Muhr Asia-Africa section, while Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Isda” is in the out-of-competition section. Mardoquio’s film will be vying for the top prize with six other films from Turkey, Iran, Singapore, Nigeria/Libya and South Africa. Bayani San Diego Jr.
